Another mystery. A woman's face in a bed of acanthus leaves and a scallop shell stem, hand-cast from a 19th century original. Could this be Spenser's "Faerie Queene" in her Bower of Bliss? Some sort of floral sprite? One of Breughel's milder nightmares? No matter: it's lovely. (Suggestion for smokers: after your next pipe purchase, offer your beloved one of these.)
